Privacy Policy

1. Summary
- OmniQRHub makes QR codes in your browser. What you type into a generator is not sent to us.
- Your History is saved on your own device, not on a server. You can turn it off or clear it at any time.
- We show Google Ads. The Google Ads tag only loads if you accept marketing cookies in the Cookiebot banner.
- Loading the site involves a few third parties (hosting, code libraries, fonts, the consent banner). They see your IP address, as any website you visit does.
2. What you type into the generators
Wi-Fi names and passwords, contact details, links, messages, payment IDs and anything else you enter are turned into a QR code by JavaScript running on your device. Images, PDFs and SVGs are also created on your device. We do not receive, store or see this content.
Logos you upload are read by your browser and never uploaded. The QR scanner reads your camera or the image you choose on your device as well.
3. What is stored on your device
We use your browser's local storage (localStorage) for:
- History (
qr_history): the content, title, style and logo of codes you download, so you can download them again from the History page. This can include personal details such as phone numbers or email addresses. Wi-Fi passwords are not saved unless you tick "Save password in History" before downloading. - History on/off (
omni_history_enabled): your choice to turn History off. - Language and country code (
omni_lang,omni_country_code): so the site remembers your preferences.
This data stays in this browser on this device. Anyone who can use your browser can see it. You can delete it from the History page ("Clear History"), turn History off there, or clear your browser's site data.
The site also installs a service worker, which keeps copies of our own pages, scripts and styles on your device so the site loads faster and works offline. It does not store anything you type.
4. Cookies, consent and advertising
We use Cookiebot (Usercentrics A/S) to ask for your consent. Cookiebot sets a cookie (CookieConsent) that records your choice.
If you accept marketing cookies, we load the Google Ads tag (AW-17920515929). Google may then set cookies and receive information such as your IP address, browser details and the pages you visit, to measure ad performance. If you do not accept, the tag is not loaded. Google's use of this data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
We do not use any other analytics or tracking.
5. Third parties involved in loading the site
When you open a page, your browser connects to these services. Each one receives your IP address and standard request information (browser, referring page) as part of the connection:
- Cloudflare Pages: hosts the site. Cloudflare may keep short-term request logs for security and reliability.
- cdnjs (Cloudflare): serves the open-source libraries we use to draw QR codes, create PDFs, read spreadsheets, make ZIP files and scan codes.
- Google Fonts (
fonts.googleapis.com,fonts.gstatic.com): serves the fonts. - Cookiebot (
consent.cookiebot.com): shows the consent banner. - Google Ads: only after you consent, as described above.
We do not look up your location. The site does not contact any geolocation service.
6. Scanned content
A QR code you create keeps working after you print it, and whatever it contains (for example a Wi-Fi password) can be read by anyone who scans it. Think about where you place codes that contain private information.
7. Your rights
We do not hold personal data about you on our servers, so there is normally nothing for us to access, correct or delete. Data kept by Google, Cloudflare or Cookiebot is covered by their own policies. For questions, or to exercise rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, email us.
8. Changes and contact
If we change how the site handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top. Questions: [email protected]
