How the OmniQRHub Scanner Works
The OmniQRHub scanner runs entirely in your browser. When you allow camera access, the video is read frame by frame on your device, and nothing is uploaded. If camera access is blocked (some in-app browsers do this), you can pick a photo or screenshot of the code instead.
Once a code is read, the scanner shows the raw content first, so you can see exactly what it contains before you act on it. Then it offers the right action: open a link, call a number, start an SMS, copy a Wi-Fi password, or save a contact or calendar event as a file.
Check Before You Open
- Read the domain. A link that looks like your bank but ends in an unfamiliar domain is a red flag.
- Be wary of stickers. Scammers paste their own codes over real ones on parking meters and posters.
- Never enter passwords on a page you reached from a code you don't trust. Go to the site directly instead.
- Payment codes deserve extra care. Confirm the payee name in your UPI or wallet app before you approve anything.
